Work Culture
Our staff is highly skilled and enjoys a great deal of collaboration with interns, as it is important for trainees to be exposed to a range of quality, evidence-based care. Our goals are to create a positive and supportive physical, social, and professional work environment. We have found that this provides a crucial element of care for both our clients and clinicians to make the most of their time together. Youthrive Mental Health has a strong foundation in the value of increasing access to care for all populations. For this reason, we are committed to providing insurance-based care and have a range of opportunities to create access in underserved communities. The community we serve and the populations we access are diverse.
Benefits of Interning at youthrive mental health
Educational Stipend
We believe that our interns should be rewarded for their hard work! Alongside trainings, education, and study groups, youthrive mental health provides an educational stipend for practicum and internship semesters at the end of the internship tenure.
Build Your Own Schedule
We believe your best work is done during the hours you deem to be best for work! We allow you to choose the hours you regularly work. We do not require weekends or nights! We allow you to decide your hours that will help you meet your program requirements.

"Thrive Therapy Maryland has allowed me to grow and be curious as an individual counselor. I have been encouraged to use my personal strengths and interests to develop an individualized counseling identity.
I am thrilled with my decision to work on my practicum and internship year with Thrive Therapy. From the moment I started the interview process, I was able to gain a glimpse into the organization’s dedication and the commitment of all the professionals who work here."
"I was drawn to Thrive Therapy Maryland because of the organization’s deeply rooted values. From its commitment to ending racism to honoring religious dignity, Thrive lives its mission every day through inclusive, comprehensive therapy.
The internship program is truly outstanding. I feel incredibly supported—from weekly supervision to “group soup,” Thrive creates a nurturing environment where interns are both challenged and cared for. I have the tools and guidance I need to grow. Our cohort studies together for the NCE, and weekly meetings help bridge the gap between academic learning and clinical practice.
Working alongside such patient and knowledgeable professionals has been transformative. Thrive is deeply invested in our development as new therapists, and that dedication shows in every aspect of the internship experience. I feel so fortunate to have landed here."
"I am incredibly grateful to Elana, my supervisor. She is an amazing human and professional with so much knowledge, and without her support, I would not have grown and learned as much as I have so far. I am also very grateful to the rest of the team, who have always been so attentive and kind to give me support when I needed it. Thrive Therapy truly knows how to provide support to its interns. I felt welcomed and embraced from the very beginning. Everyone here is professional, but also incredibly kind—the perfect combination to learn from and be with. When I met one of the interns who was already working, she told me, “You will love it here.” She was absolutely right! I am absolutely loving working here!"
