About Yahellah:
Hi there! My name is Yahellah (yael-la)!
I am inspired by working in areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, and holistic wellness. As a Black Latina woman, I am particularly interested in women and BIPOC empowerment. I have 10+ years of experience in Higher Education, specifically in academic advising and student affairs, mostly working with first-generation and low-income students. What I have loved most about my work in the field has been the connections I have made with students through my authentic, affirming, empathetic, and encouraging coaching style and I am looking forward to applying the skills I have gained through my experience and my current counseling program to build trusting relationships with my clients.
I provide a safe and brave space for clients to show up as their authentic selves and honor each person’s unique experiences.
I am enrolled in the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Johns Hopkins University.
Please contact me if you are ready to partner with me on your wellness journey!
