About Elana:
Hi, I'm Elana - it's so nice to meet you! I am excited to join you in a collaborative and comfortable environment where individuality and resilience are celebrated. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University and have since completed my Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling at Loyola University of Maryland. I have previous experience working with children, teenagers, and adults, with a spectrum of concerns and diagnoses, in forensic, residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
I specialize in trauma + PTSD, anxiety, racial trauma, family issues, gender-affirming care, and ADHD testing for adults. I strive to create an authentic and individual-focused environment through Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psychoanalytic techniques. I want you to come to the session with the freedom to be YOU!
Being yourself is the most important part of therapy. I want you to come to session exactly as you are! I hope that through authentic interaction, you can be honest about your feelings and thoughts, getting the full benefit of therapy. I fully support you in any walk of life you may be in; individuals from all races, genders, sexual orientations, ability levels, religions, etc. are welcome into my office to be their most authentic selves.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you along your path to growth, wholeness, and peace!
